Baby John, an upcoming Hindi-language action thriller, is the latest venture by director Kalees, adapted from Atlee’s 2016 Tamil blockbuster Theri. Starring Varun Dhawan in the titular role, this film marks the Bollywood debut of acclaimed South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh. Joining them are Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. Production of Baby John has been a journey years in the making. Initial plans for a Hindi remake of Theri surfaced in 2016, with several stars considered for the lead role. The project gained momentum in 2020 when Varun Dhawan joined the cast, and it was finally greenlit in 2022. Atlee, the original director, chose to produce the film instead, entrusting Kalees, his former assistant, with directing duties. The official title Baby John was unveiled in February 2024, heightening excitement among fans.
